HCI SPEAKER MEETINGS •

3rd Saturday of each month at
7:30pm • First Congregational Church
at Hodgson
& J Streets, Eureka

| Humboldt
County Intergroup (HCI) sponsors a monthly speaker meeting which is
hosted by various AA groups. Occasionally the Main Speaker is from out
of the area. The AA meeting format provides for a 10-minute Service
Speaker followed by the Main AA Speaker. Free coffee and refreshments
are provided, and a prize drawing is held after the AA meeting. There
is free AA literature, and the church
facility is wheelchair accessible. Please come and join us in
fellowship! |

A Funshop is a mini-workshop/information session on a topic pertinent
to
AA. Funshops are held on the same day as the monthly District 15
meetings, and may be before or after the regular District 15 business
meeting.
A New GSR Orientation may be held in addition to or in place
of a Funshop. If you are new, or just want to find out more,
come and join us. The atmosphere is casual, and questions are
welcome. |

many opportunities available to help as a committee

District
service positions rotate every two years.
Service Panel 59 runs from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2010.
If you want to learn about service at the District level, please come
to
a District Committee Meeting.
We meet at 1112 5th St,
in
Eureka, in the conference room of Visiting
Angels.

Other Open Service Positions -
Northern
California Hospitals and Institutions Committee of Humboldt County
has a need for facility coordinators. A Facility Coordinator
coordinates the meeting secretaries who run the actual meetings, and
serves as the AA contact person for the administrators of the facility.
The sobriety requirement varies with the position. H
& I experience is recommended. If you are interested,
or if you need
more information, please call the number listed above for Hospitals
& Institutions (H & I) Area 04.
PI/CPC
(Public Information and Cooperation with the Professional Community) meets
on
the third Thursday of each month @ 6:00 PM, at the Eureka Senior Center
(corners of Del Norte & California Streets, or 1910 California
St.), to
help us get the word to non-AA entities such as medical, law
enforcement, education, and the media. This committee
needs individuals to help carry the message outside the rooms
of AA. This is a
2 and 2 requirement.
Humboldt
County Intergroup Answering Service - volunteers
are needed for the answering service and to be on the 12th Step call
list. Minimum requirements are
One year Sobriety, and completion of the 12 Steps. Ask your
sponsor if this kind of service is right for you. If you are
interested, please attend the monthly meeting of the Humboldt County
Intergroup, the
first Monday of the month at 7PM, 520 E.
Street, in Eureka.
